Vacancy Business Development Manager – New York
For a unique R&D organisation in gut and bowel health we are seeking a Business Development Manager in North America. They are unique for two reasons. One, they provide contract research and develop their own products with some of them already in clinical phase I and two, they develop own technology platform for gastrointestinals simulations, making the study of physicochemical, enzymatic and microbial parameters easy. They are growing and aim to be one of the biggest CROs worldwide, so they are now looking for a Business Development Manager to help conquer territory in North America, could that be you?
As the only Business Development Manager in North America, it is your duty to strategise and personally get your hands dirty to bring our products and service to the market. For this role, we are looking for someone who knows how to sell and close deals independently by applying your knowledge about the life science industry in a commercial way. The market you will work in ranges from pharma to biotech and food science in the United States and Canada, depending on where you are able to create traction. It is a very independent role and there is no office yet, so you will basically be a lone wolf in the beginning with the backbone being in Belgium and in time you can build your own team and choose an office. For the perfect Business Development Manager, we are looking for the following requirements:
- More than 5 years of experience in the industry
- Master’s degree in life sciences or business background degree
- A proven record for closing deals
- A background in the life science industry
- Fluency in English
